About the Organization

The Naval Warfare School (SSS) supports the naval units with education, development, and unit training. At SSS, training is conducted that includes support for position training for soldiers and sailors, basic officer training (officer program and specialist as well as reserve officer training), higher specialist officer training (HSOU), and vocational and position training for employed personnel. The focus of SSS's activities is the naval units' ability to engage in armed combat. The workplace is located within the Naval Base in Karlskrona, and the position is at the SSS staff.

Main Responsibilities

As an education officer, you will primarily work with the development and quality assurance of course plans for training conducted at the Naval Warfare School. You will handle cases involving validation and crediting, as well as manage the Naval Warfare School's course evaluations and experience management. The tasks include work in study administrative systems. The Naval Warfare School continuously works to develop its education and methods, where you will be a natural part. Periods of high workload may occur. You have significant opportunity to influence how you solve your tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Academic education, e.g., in quality development and pedagogy or equivalent education/experience deemed relevant by the employer.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
• Driver's license (B).

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience as a pedagogical developer.
• Experience of systematic quality work in educational organizations.
• Previous experience of working within the Armed Forces.
• Experience in managing educational registration in Ladok.

Other

The position is a civilian permanent employment at 100% with a 40-hour workweek. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority. Placement in Karlskrona with a start date according to agreement. Individual salary setting applies, and travel may occur in the position.

The Naval Warfare School, SSS, trains officers, specialist officers, sailors, and soldiers at all levels. SSS also conducts studies, trials, and leadership training of ship crews, as well as tactics and technology development in the maritime field. SSS also has a responsibility for diving and naval medicine in the Armed Forces. SSS is primarily based in Karlskrona in Blekinge but also has a unit in Berga outside Stockholm specializing in amphibious warfare.
